A Coleção de Triatomíneos do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz (CTIOC) é uma das coleções mais antigas da instituição pois seu acervo começou a ser formado em 1909 quando da descoberta da doença de Chagas, atualmente ela é formada pela coleção Herman Lent ( CHL ) com 9.000 exemplares, sendo 3374 fichados, coleção aberta, incorporando material, a coleção Rodolpho Carcavallo ( CRC ) com 15.000 exemplares sendo 5674 fichados. Uma coleção com material preservado em Álcool 70º GL com 25 espécies e uma coleção viva mantida no insetário de Triatomíneos, atualmente com 46 espécies mantidas em 150 cristalizadores, esta coleção propicia material vivo para pesquisadores que trabalham com vetores da doença de Chagas. A coleção de Triatomíneos está vinculada ao Laboratório Nacional e Internacional de Referência em Taxonomia de Triatomíneos do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz e é o centro de Referência Nacional do Ministério da Saúde.
